Poland 4 x 400 meter relay won the gold in Columbus saturday at the State Track meet. Their time of 3:19.42 set a new school record. They had broken the previous school record at the Ravenna Regionals. The quartet of Brian Ciccione, Ryan Storkel, Luke Wollet and Robert Balzano ran a perfect race to edge Dayton Dunbar for the win. Dunbar had won the semi-final but a determined group of Bulldog seniors would not be denied saturday. Their win Saturday marks the 3rd time that Poland has won a State 4 x 400 championship, 1937, 2000 and now 2010.
